Ether ETFs challenge bitcoin dominance as trading volumes hit yearly low

Bitcoin ETFs just hit their quietest trading week since October. Investors aren't walking away from the market, but they're definitely shifting their focus to the silver to bitcoin's gold. Spot ether funds managed to pull in nearly as much fresh capital as their bitcoin counterparts over the last three weeks, a staggering feat considering ether funds hold just one-eighth of the total net assets. This momentum shift suggests the initial frenzy around bitcoin's price discovery is cooling off in favor of a diversified play. While bitcoin saw over $100 billion in monthly volume earlier this year, the current slowdown points to a market catching its breath. Ether's sudden resilience is flipping the script on which asset leads the next leg of the cycle. The question now is whether this ether inflow streak is a temporary rotation or the start of a permanent rebalancing in institutional portfolios.
