ETH Signal Flips to Wait as Market Sentiment Hits Absolute Zero

The Bleeding Pauses at Rock Bottom

Ethereum just stopped the immediate bleeding, but nobody's throwing a party yet. The signal just flipped from Sell to Wait, even though the score actually dropped from 34 to 32. It sounds counterintuitive, but we've reached a point where the sellers are simply exhausted. When you're staring at a Fear & Greed index of 0, there's literally no more room for sentiment to sour. We've hit a psychological wall where the market is effectively paralyzed.

Price action is currently pinned at $98.37, hovering just below the major moving averages. We aren't seeing a recovery, but we are seeing the aggressive distribution phase take a breather. The market is holding its breath to see if this level holds or if we're just resting before another leg down.

The Oversold Reality

The technical reason for this shift sits squarely with the RSI(14). At 31.2, ETH is screaming that it's oversold. Traditionally, an RSI under 30 is the trigger for a bounce, and we're knocking on that door right now. The bears have pushed this hard enough that the rubber band is stretched to its limit. While the trend remains bearish, selling into this level of exhaustion is a high-risk move that often leads to getting caught in a short squeeze.

However, the moving averages tell a grimmer story of long-term pressure. The MA50 is currently sitting at 99.66, acting as immediate overhead resistance. If ETH can't even reclaim the hundred-dollar mark, the bulls don't have a leg to stand on. Further up, the MA200 looms at 100.45, confirming that the medium-term trend is still firmly pointed toward the floor. We're sandwiched in a tight, depressing range.

The Trader's Playbook

If you're looking for a long entry, this isn't it. A Wait signal at a score of 32 means the system recognizes the downward velocity has slowed, but it hasn't detected any actual strength. You're looking for a stabilization period. Pushing a trade here is essentially gambling on a sentiment rebound that hasn't started yet.

Smart money is watching the $99.66 level. A decisive break above that MA50 might provide enough oxygen for a scalp toward $100.45. Until then, sitting on your hands is the most productive thing you can do. The market is currently a graveyard of high-leverage bets, and there's no reason to add your capital to the pile while the Fear & Greed index is stuck at zero.

Will the RSI bounce finally provide the liquidity needed for a relief rally, or is $98.37 just a temporary pit stop on the way to new lows?

Not financial advice.
