ETH Signal Flips to Wait as Momentum Neutralizes

Momentum Hits the Brakes

Ethereum just stopped the bleeding, but don't call it a comeback yet. After a period of heavy sell-side dominance at the $1919.29 mark, the technical score has cooled off from a conviction-heavy 80 down to a neutral 55. The price is effectively flat at $1919.34, yet the underlying mechanics are shifting under our feet. We aren't in the clear, but the immediate urgency to dump has evaporated.

The Technical Tug-of-War

The RSI(14) is currently sitting at 62.9. That's a tricky spot. It’s high enough to show that buyers are trying to reclaim the narrative, but it's dangerously close to the overbought threshold where the air gets thin. If the RSI pushes past 70 without a corresponding price breakout, expect another rejection. Right now, the market is breathing, but it’s a shallow breath.

What’s more telling is the gap between the Moving Averages. ETH is currently sandwiched in a structural no-man's-land. We are trading above the MA50 of 1733.97, which serves as our immediate safety net. However, the long-term ceiling at the MA200 is looming at 2167.47. Until Ethereum can decisively challenge that 2167 level, the macro trend remains heavy. We're trapped between short-term relief and long-term resistance.

Sentiment vs. Reality

The Fear & Greed Index is stuck at 33. People are still spooked. While the technical score suggests a "Wait" stance, the crowd is still pricing in disaster. This divergence between a stabilizing price and fearful sentiment often creates a floor, but it rarely sparks a vertical rally without a fresh catalyst.

Traders who were shorting the 80-score sell signal should be tightening stops or taking off some risk here. The math says the aggressive downside momentum has stalled. If you're looking to buy, you're fighting a Fear & Greed score that hasn't found its bottom yet. The smart play is watching how $1919 holds over the next few sessions.

The Trader's Path

Patience is the hardest trade to execute. With the signal flip to Wait, the market is telling us that the previous move has been priced in and the next leg hasn't been written yet. We need to see if the MA50 holds as support or if the MA200 continues to act as an impenetrable wall.

Will the RSI find the strength to push toward 70, or are we just watching a dead cat bounce in slow motion?

Not financial advice.
